Purpose of the content
Everything on this site is provided for general informational and educational purposes. The calculators produce estimates based on simplified models of complex retirement plans. They are not benefit statements, not offers, and not a substitute for the official calculation your retirement system will perform using your actual service record.

No warranty
The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, currency or fitness for any particular purpose of the content. Public pension rules change frequently and official sources sometimes conflict with one another. We review our data periodically and date-stamp each page, but we do not warrant that any figure is current or correct at the moment you read it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or anything in it. This includes decisions about when to retire, which benefit option to elect, whether to change employers, or how much to save. Those decisions have large and often irreversible financial consequences, and they should be made on the basis of an official estimate from your retirement system and, where appropriate, advice from a qualified professional.
No affiliation with retirement systems
This site is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by any government agency or retirement system, including but not limited to the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, CalSTRS, NYSTRS, the Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System, STRS Ohio, the Massachusetts State Retirement Board, the Florida Retirement System, the Office of Personnel Management or the Social Security Administration.
All system names, logos and trademarks referred to on this site remain the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the plans being described.
Intellectual property
The written explanations, page structure, comparisons and code on this site are our own work and are protected by copyright. The underlying plan rules, statutes and official publications are the property of the respective systems and governments, and are cited rather than reproduced wholesale.
You are welcome to link to any page here, quote short passages with attribution, and use the calculators for your own planning, including in a professional capacity advising others.

- Scrape, crawl or otherwise access the site in a way that degrades performance for other users
- Republish substantial portions of the written content as your own
